Mostly Harmless

im very tired but im staying up to see that ask from the confused person about my alice and whether or not shes form wonderland

im waiting for someone to say “but wait isnt your alice a goth alice in wonderland”

im waiting i just know at least one person is thinking it

A truly good dark (goth) take on Alice in Wonderland is the old PC game American McGee's Alice. I think it one of the best examples of videogames as an art form.

ashes on a megaphone from police tower: STEP AWAY FROM THE ALICE IN WONDERLAND REFERENCES. PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR AND STEP AWAY SLOWLY FROM THE URGE TO MAKE ANOTHER GOTH ALICE IN WONDERLAND THING

For truly surreal children literature, check out The Phantom Tollbooth or the classic Alice In Wonderland.

alice in wonderland is sooooooooooooooooooo good its such a fucking shame goths have basically ruined it for everyone on the planet

The basic message in A Wrinkle in Time is that love conquers all. It's bullshit Christian symbolism disguised as pulp scifi and forced onto young children in order to indoctrinate them into Christianity (see also Chronicles of Narnia).

god youre such a damn atheistaboo baby theres nothing more wrong with shoving culturally relevant symbolism and positive messages in scifi instead of exclusively “we’re all doomed and the robots will eat our children”

the psychology in surreality is really important but so is the physics. but both are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. surreality is a very difficult concept overall
